This artwork is based on the mosaic art technique. Not quite a true mosaic as all the pieces here were taken from the same source, a classical guitar. The interesting aspect to this artwork is that a three dimensional object was cut up and turned into a two dimensional object, that has been made to look like the original three dimensional object.
